2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Xi'an Bodi School. The campus is filled with spring and colorful flags are flying. We gather together to celebrate Bodi's 20th anniversary and witness this unforgettable moment in the history of the school's development. For this, as an elderly man, I am very happy in my heart.
My original intention for founding the school twenty years ago was to inspire young people to learn extensively and become pillars of talent through learning.
20 years ago, Bodi School bravely emerged as the first private school in Xi'an. At that time, there was no precedent to learn from in the educational model, and the path of education was entirely based on personal exploration. The difficulties of entrepreneurship and the pressure of running a school made me feel a bit hesitant when I look back now. Bodi School started as a primary school with less than 300 students and has now become a full-time, boarding provincial key school, including primary, middle, and high schools; Starting from the first batch of graduates, we have trained a group of young talents for the country and society today; After years of hard work and hard struggle led by the leadership team of the school, the school has grown from weak to strong, from unknown to emerging. It has established the school motto of "honesty, love, diligence, and bravery" and the educational philosophy of "people-oriented and moral education". It has achieved fruitful educational results and won a good social reputation. It can be said that Bodi School has been successful with the joint efforts of all of us! The glory of the school today is my greatest comfort in my later years!
No success can be achieved smoothly, and creating history is always accompanied by hard work and struggle. Whenever I think of the school starting in the Taipingyu Mountain Gully in Huxian County and the second entrepreneurship in Yuhua Village, it always makes me think of it. If it weren't for the encouragement and support of all family members, including my spouse, and if it weren't for the current principal Yang Fengyu's 20 years of hard work and careful management; If there is no selfless dedication from all teachers, administrative and logistical personnel; If there is no care and assistance from leaders and governments at all levels; If it weren't for the strong support of student parents, Bodi wouldn't have been able to go where it is today.
The green mountains are still there, and the sunset has turned red several times. Remembering the distant past and not forgetting the heroes. We will always remember the people who have made contributions to the development of Bodi. We will always remember Yan Lizhang, Liu Gongcheng, Sun Shengtian, and others who worked for Bodi's development until the last moment of their lives, using their blood and lives to practice the ancient saying "Spring silkworms die silk, dragonflies become ashes, tears dry".
The development of a school requires the joint efforts of several chairmen and principals. I am pleased to see that today at Bodi, Ms. Liu Yubo, who is full of vitality, leads the new generation of Bodi people to take over the important task of Bodi's development and move towards higher and farther goals.
In the spring of April, everything is full of vitality and infinite hope is nurtured. Twenty years of education, full of youthful beauty, full of heroic spirit, with heavy responsibilities and a long way to go. When the whole country is studying and implementing the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and billions of people are realizing the Chinese Dream, I believe that the current leadership team of Bodi, led by young Bodi people, will surely fulfill Bodi's dream!
Campus is a spiritual home for teachers and students to grow together. I sincerely wish Bodi School to keep up with the times, carry on the past and open up the future, follow the pace of the times, and move towards a more brilliant tomorrow!
