In mid-July 2008, Hanban invited nearly 1,000 high school students from the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea to participate in the first "Chinese Bridge" summer camp for international students. The first batch of 37 teachers from the United States arrived in Xi'an on July 15th and were received by Xi'an Bodhi School. The activities of the "Chinese Bridge" international student summer camp include Chinese language learning, cultural exchange, sports exchange, and visiting and browsing. In order to do a good job in this reception work, our teachers carefully prepared Tang poetry appreciation, Shaanxi cultural monuments, hard brush calligraphy, Shaanxi waist drum, Chinese ink painting, tai chi, table tennis and other subjects, at the same time, our students also had a number of exchanges with the American students, so that the students' spoken English has been practiced.
