Thirty years ago, in the underdeveloped inland city of Xi'an, there was a very special school in those days, my alma mater - Xi'an Bodhi School.
Said she is special, one because she is located in the beautiful scenery of the Taiping Valley, spring full of green mountains, summer quiet and cool, autumn forests, winter silver, the school backed by the mountains, facing the river, we are in the natural "oxygen bar" in the living and learning, since it is refreshing, relaxed and happy.
Secondly, because she was one of the few boarding schools at that time, whether it was a child in the first grade, or a middle school student like me, every two weeks there are 11 days in the school boarding. The school implemented a semi-military management, every day there is a loud and clear wake-up call to wake us up, the quilt should be folded into "tofu block" like the army, where we practiced self-care, cultivated independence, and had many advantages and abilities that children in other schools did not have.
But in my heart, the most special thing about her is the special love between students and teachers, as well as between students and classmates. I transferred to Bodie from a regular day school in my second year of junior high school, and I deeply felt the dedication of every teacher and the care for the students. Each teacher's classroom teaching is impeccable, and when we want to ask questions during class or during night study, we can find them in the office, and when we are sick and delayed in class, they will definitely take the initiative to come and make up the progress for us. Outside the classroom, they teach by example, care and consideration, so that we children away from home feel the warmth of a family. The class teacher, Mr. Zuo, who was kind with a hint of severity, the language teacher, Mr. Li, who was jokingly called "Confucius" by his classmates, the handsome physics teacher, Mr. Chen, who had a head of silver hair, and the beautiful and humorous history teacher, Mr. Zhao, who had a lot to talk about with us, all of these teachers are engraved deeply in my heart and memory.
Students who live and study together 24 hours a day have become lifelong friends. We have accompanied each other through the ignorant teenage years, clothes can be changed to wear, snacks can be changed to eat, every day before going to bed gossip exchange so that there is no secret and barrier between each other. We witnessed each other's youthful growth every moment, this friendship is more and more precious, more and more sweet.
For thirty years, my alma mater has nurtured the fragrance of peaches and plums. I have never regretted meeting you. I wish my alma mater a happy birthday, and I hope that it will continue its success in the future!
